We had a pet-friendly and a nice size room with a terrace and everything was superb. Having a private balcony and a lounge was very convenient. The location was best possible for first time visitors to Windermere.

Fine views of Lake Windermere, beautifully maintained gardens, charming traditional design
Room maintenance tends to lag, heating problems impacted our comfort!!! Cleanliness left much to be desired with dirty carpets and poorly maintained amenities!!! The dining experience lacked variety and consistency!!!

Magnificent place with exceptional staff, everything was perfect. The service was absolutely good. Plus, we parked on site. The location was brilliant - so close to windermere shoreline, the lake, and the property's gardens, wildlife and location.

Delicious breakfast was a bonus. I was given exceptional room with a very comfy bed. The location was perfect, on the lakefront, in the beautiful area.

We loved our stay at Langdale Chase Hotel. The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The view from the room and the bathroom was spectacular...consisting of views of the garden, the lake and the mountains behind. The hotel had an old-world charm and the furnitures were good. The bathroom was really spacious, we have seldom come across such a spacious bathroom in uk and was very clean. You could just remain inside the hotel in times of bad weather and enjoy the nature outside. The view from the bar is also excellent and the food at the bar is really good. It's worth having the afternoon tea at the bar while enjoying the spectacular view outside. The only problem we faced was that no quilt / duvette was provided. There was one thin woollen cover kind of thing (I am not sure what it is called), which was not enough during the night. Actually we discovered it very late at night. But I am sure, had we discovered it earlier and asked at the reception, we would have been provided with a proper duvette. Also, we didn't expect the newspaper in the morning to be chargeable. But apart from this, it was a wonderful and unforgettable stay and I would recommend it to everybody

Lake view and dinner was nice but was expensive. ( Less variety )
Staff was not helpful in giving advices / infomration for tourist. There is no one can help in taking the luggages to the room, there was no left, we carried our stuff to the second floor.

The room was a stunning one with a beautiful view of the lake, the staff very nice and the food at dinner lovely
Although we had a lovely dinner at an excellent price, the restaurant's menu did not show the price of the dishes, and we thought that it was not right.

Both lovable and frustrating
The views over the lake were amazing, and the hotel featured a fine galleried landing with a Victorian stained glass roof. The service was genuinely friendly!
Despite the charm, some areas felt dated, and the dining options were limited. There were several delays in service that could have soured what should have been good meals.

Location & style
We were disappointed with the quality of the evening meal. My steak, although cooked to a perfect medium rare, was tough. My other colleague who also had steak found his also tough. The desert was good. I would expect a hotel with their reputation to ensure steak was good. The breakfast was ok.
